Dolls

Sometimes I feel like the world is a dollhouse
People who hate me think they're barbies
And of course I'm a rag doll
They're skinny, they have perfect hair
And I'm left with patches on my clothes
And hair made of old string
To some people every Barbie is the same
One way or the other
And everything else is "old", "ugly", or "uncool"
In the toy store all the little girls go buy dolls
They pass the rag handmade dolls
And as usual go to the Barbies
Why are they so much better?
What did I do to make people who don't even KNOW me hate me?
Is it because I'm "old", "ugly", or "uncool"?
Despite everything I'm glad I'm not a "Barbie"
They end up getting tossed away with all the other "perfect" dolls
To the people that matter, the doll they think is better and more valuable is the one who is unique or as others say "old", "ugly", or "uncool"
